BIG DATA ANALYTICS TO FACILITATE HRM ANALYSIS PROCESS

One of the most important functions of human resources management is, handling and analyzing the details of the employee base. Unlike in past, This becomes a challenge where organizations have a mass collection of data.

‘Big data’ are software tools that gather and summarize mass collections of data in an instant. Employee databases help to identify the potential of employees, capabilities and infirmities, risk and organizational productivity and they directly support human resources management.  (Kumar, 2018)

What is ‘Big Data Analytics’?

Big data analytics is Supplying various data to one platform where they are organized and analyzed. The basic structure is to gather an immense amount of data and line up based on its usefulness.  (Kumar, 2018)

Convenience, Accuracy and Reliability of data analysis aids to avoid unmethodical data interruption. Large scales of data can be gathered from various places such as Web sites, Social media, E-mails, Documents created by people, CCTV footage and other digital parameters.

Use of Big data in HR (Jabrayilova, 2016)

In talent management- Interviews can be done with the support of statistical data of candidates collected from the internet (eg- Social media profiles) to ensure the information that is collected. This helps the organization to recruit the most suitable person.

In personal training- Organizations have to expend significant costs on traditional classroom training. Developing software with all the resources of learning materials helps employees with perspicuous learning. This helps employees to manage time.

In performance appraisal- Traditional assessment processes as evaluations and job tests are inadequate to figure the overall employee performance. Big data gives a solution with workplace monitoring with CCTV data and social media behavior. This helps to identify the gap between the actual situation and employee competency.

In motivating employees- Big data can summarise productivity on a daily, weekly and monthly basis which helps employees to understand where the organization is. This helps them to get motivated and develop.

Solving HRM issues- Big data can help the organization to collect, analyze and summarize the data collection of the employee base and to ensure the secrecy and confidentiality of their information

  • Long process and responding periods
  • Lack of data disturbs the prompt insight.
  • Poor quality or false data.

Big data analytics is doing a leading role in the banking industry where a huge customer base is handled. This supports the management and other relevant officials to gather, analyse and summarize the data that they need in a short period of time.
