REINVENTION OF HR WITH ARTIFICIALE INTELLIGANCE

Computer science has significantly launched its domination in the modern world with far and wide development and modernization towards each and every corner of human involvement.

Artificial intelligence (AI) or machine intelligence,

contrary to the natural intelligence exhibited by man-animals and others, it is the intelligence exhibited by machines. Computer science defines AI research as the study of "intelligent agents". Any device that understands it, takes action that maximizes the chances of successfully achieving the environment and its goals. (Ahmed, 2018)

This particular concept can support human resource management, from the very first moments where the organization starts dealing with an employee to the very end where the analysis part happens.

Benefits of Artificial Intelligence in HRM (JOSEPH, 2019)

Artificial intelligence widens its path by simplifying arduous tasks for accuracy and better results. The obvious benefits include higher revenue generation, efficiency, accuracy, and significant restructuring. Other benefits are helping with creativity and less stress for HR professionals. AI today can be used to quickly and accurately identify important information, identify errors, and diagnose inconsistencies.

Reinventions are done by Artificial Intelligence in HRM (Nicastro, 2020)

  • Candidate Sources and Resumes- Candidates applying for jobs can use new paperless concepts such as digital applications and websites to apply for jobs. Using big data analysis concepts to find suitable candidates for recruitment, HR professionals can analyze a large number of candidates in a matter of seconds.
  • Understanding of employee appointments- AI improves candidate experience by automating repetitive, low-value tasks and freeing up time for HR teams to focus on more strategic tasks needed to perform and improve. The onboarding process also can be automated with an instant time spread. Allows HR professionals to invest more time in counseling and feedback gathering.
  • Data-Backed Resources and Insights- AI provides HR professionals with data-based resources direct connections with employees. This allows to take action and provide the workforce with a positive experience, resulting in increased engagement and lower turnover. Artificial intelligence is one way to connect the entire workforce, understand their necessities, and respond positively.
  • Online training and development processes that reduce cost and time.
  • Emphasize employee engagement with new idea gathering digital platforms.
  • Workforce analytics- eg-shows the impact of absenteeism, open shifts, and unplanned schedule changes on key performance indicators.
Conclusion
People in our country are a little less with the knowledge in artificial intelligence. This has affected adversely to them to walk parallel with this fast-moving world. As a state bank in Sri Lanka, The Bank of Ceylon is where I work also implementing many digital platforms for customers to make their banking requirements easy. But, according to our internal reports, the adaption of customers on digital platforms is identically less than expected as per their knowledge is less.
